What this page is

A short reading list behind the way Slowio looks at companies: Benjamin Graham's security analysis and margin of safety, valuation frameworks, the behavioural side of investing, and the macroeconomic backdrop (debt cycles, asset allocation). Each card on the page gives the title, the author, a short description and a link to the book's page.

The list

  • The Intelligent Investor Rev Ed.: The Definitive Book on Value Investing — Benjamin Graham, Jason Zweig, Warren E. Buffett
  • Balanced Asset Allocation: How to Profit in Any Economic Climate — Alex Shahidi, Bill Lee
  • Security Analysis: Sixth Edition, Foreword by Warren Buffett (Security Analysis Prior Editions) — Benjamin Graham, David Dodd, Warren Buffett
  • Your Money and Your Brain: How the New Science of Neuroeconomics Can Help Make You Rich — Jason Zweig
  • Principles for Dealing with the Changing World Order: Why Nations Succeed and Fail — Ray Dalio
  • The Tao of Warren Buffett: Warren Buffett Words of Wisdom — Mary Buffett, David Clark
  • Principles for Navigating Big Debt Crises — Ray Dalio
  • A Concise Guide to Macroeconomics, Second Edition: What Managers, Executives, and Students Need to Know — David A. Moss

A suggested reading order

  • First pass: how to read financial statements — the blog article How to read a company's financials in 60 seconds is the short version.
  • Second pass: valuation frameworks and ratio interpretation.
  • Third pass: market structure, macro context and risk concepts.

Comparing several sources on the same concept reduces single-source bias. The tools on Slowio (40+ years of financial statements and ratios per company, screening, ETF and portfolio analysis) are built to practise what these books describe.
